Parks & Recreation - Whitehall Parkway

Whitehall Township A beautiful, passive and natural 110 acre park with fishing, various hiking trails, historical buildings and bird watching is available to everyone. Whitehall Parkway is popular for cross country skiers and is connected to the Ironton Rail-Trail.

It is located just north of the Municipal Building and west of Rt. 145. Parking is available on Chestnut Street and South Church Street. Watch for the Civil War Weekend held annually in June at the Parkway. Download a Whitehall Parkway Map

Whitehall Parkway Facility Usage Form

Whitehall's Haunted Parkway - 7-11pm - Fridays & Saturdays- Sept. 29th thru Oct. 28th

Whitehall's Haunted Parkway - Trick 'R Treat (Free for Kids in Costume, Adults $5) - 4-6pm - Friday October 6th

Directions
North Entrance (ADA Accessible) – From MacArthur Road (Rte. 145), head west on Chestnut Street to parking area near red barn.

Trailhead Entrance (ADA Accessible) head east on Chestnut Street to parking area before Ruch Street.

South Entrance – From Macarthur Road (Rte. 145), make left onto S. Church Street , continue one mile to parking area.

Rules and Regulations

Park Hours are Dawn to Dusk
  • No vehicles are allowed beyond the parking area. This includes, but is not limited to, automobiles, go- carts, mopeds, motorcycles, skateboards, ATV's and snowmobiles.
  • Dogs must be on leashes. Dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs to deposit the waste in the garbage containers provided or remove it from the premises.
  • Visitors are expected to stay on designated trails.
  • Whitehall Township and/or representatives of Whitehall Parkway is not responsible for injury, theft or accidents.
  • There will be no discharging of paintball guns or bows.
  • There will be no camping without a permit.
  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted on parkway grounds.
  • No glass containers are permitted on parkway grounds.
  • There will be no excavations of any kind permitted on parkway grounds.
  • No campfires are permitted on parkway grounds without prior permission of Whitehall Township.
  • No dumping or littering is permitted on parkway grounds.
  • No horses are allowed on parkway grounds.

The Whitehall Township Bureau of Police will enforce all park ordinances.
